Tangerine
(Favourites fruit for children and adult)
Tangerine is
the fruit of cirtrus reticulata’ Blanco, a tree of the botanical family,
Rutaceae, which is similar to orange tree. It is rich in vitamin C, B group
vitamins, potassium and vegetable fiber.
Preparation and uses
Fresh: This is the best way to eat tangerine. They
must be tree-ripped in order to gain the full benefit of their therapeutic
values. Treatment: This is done by eating 1.5 to 2 kilogrammes of tangerine, as
the only food for one or two days a week for a month. This treatment helps
fight infection and makes the blood more fluid.

Tangerine
contains highly effective antioxidants inform of vitamin C. High doses of
vitamin C ( 1g daily for 6 weeks) reduces blood pressure. The inner peel or
mesocarp of tangerine is also rich in pectin, a type of soluble fiber that
lowers cholesterol level, blood pressure and also lowers the risk of developing
heart attack and arteriosclerosis (narrowing, blocking of the artery wall due
